Hello. Today, I’d like to share our honest review of the wedding photoshoot at Newilmui Studio based on our actual experience. When preparing for a wedding, there are so many choices to make. We chose this studio while looking for an all-in-one package that covers dress rental, hair, and makeup all at once. It made planning our timeline much easier, and the overall process was highly satisfying.
Newilmui offers three main seasonal packages. #
We chose Season 2, which has the most abundant inclusions.
Taking a total of 7 hours, this package includes shoots inside the studio, at the outdoor main gate, along the walls, and on the rooftop spanning from sunset to night. We were able to try on three custom-made dresses by Newilmui, and received 2,500 raw image files alongside 20 retouched photos. Best of all, it included 3 hours of on-site hair styling changes, allowing us to try various looks.
Season 1
- Duration: Hair/makeup starts 3 hours prior, totaling 5 hours including the shoot
- Shooting Spaces: Solid backdrop x2 + Outdoor Main Gate (Rooftop not included)
- Inclusions:
- 2-hour shoot (including changing time)
- Rental of 2 custom-made Newilmui dresses (Size 55)
- 800 RESIZED raw image files
- 7 retouched photos
- Hair and makeup for both the groom and bride (The salon is subject to change)
- Two 20R large black-frame wooden frames
Season 2 Half
- Duration: Hair/makeup starts 3 hours prior, totaling 6 hours including the shoot
- Shooting Spaces: Rooftop + Solid backdrop x1 + Outdoor Main Gate (Includes sunset to night shoot)
- Inclusions:
- 3-hour shoot (including changing and hair styling change time)
- Rental of 2 custom-made Newilmui dresses (Size 55)
- 1,500 RESIZED raw image files
- 13 retouched photos
- Hair and makeup for both the groom and bride (The salon is subject to change)
- 2 hours of on-site hair styling changes
- Two 20R large acrylic frames
Season 2 (The Package We Chose!)
- Duration: Hair/makeup starts 3 hours prior, totaling 7 hours including the shoot
- Shooting Spaces: Rooftop + Solid backdrop x2 + Outdoor Main Gate + Wall (Includes sunset to night shoot)
- Inclusions:
- 4-hour shoot (including changing and hair styling change time)
- Rental of 3 custom-made Newilmui dresses (Size 55)
- 2,500 RESIZED raw image files
- 20 retouched photos
- Hair and makeup for both the groom and bride (The salon is subject to change)
- 3 hours of on-site hair styling changes
- Three 20R large acrylic frames
The atmosphere during the shoot was incredibly comfortable. #
Thanks to the high-energy photographer, time just flew by. They coached us in detail with poses so that even we, looking awkward, could smile naturally, and showered us with endless compliments. It was the perfect environment to relax and focus on the shoot. The friendly hair styling director also helped us feel at ease throughout the process.
In the wedding industry, there are often hidden same-day extra charges, such as fees for raw files or dress fitting. I found this aspect quite stressful. However, there were absolutely no tricky additional fees here. It is strictly operated on a fixed-price system, and I loved that they went forward honestly with the exact structure initially specified. You might feel the price is a bit high. However, considering the high-quality 3 custom-made dresses, the hair styling service, and the final results, it actually offers excellent value for money.
Being able to create diverse vibes within a single studio is also a huge charm. #
Starting with the clean studio interior, moving onto the outdoor main gate and wall background, and ending at night on the rooftop overlooking the scenic view of Haebangchon, the shoot was dynamic. The photos taken in these various spaces were finished with higher quality through the photographer’s delicate touch. It wasn’t a typical copy-paste factory style retouching; instead, Newilmui’s unique emotional aesthetic stood out. It resulted in natural photos that won’t go out of style even if you look at them for years.
I was so satisfied that I would definitely want to return here for a wedding anniversary reminder shoot if I get the chance later. If you are considering Newilmui right now, I highly recommend booking as soon as there’s an opening. You will get results that you won’t regret!
